Miracle FunBox
Ballpoint Knight Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version
- No sign-up and no account. We never ask for your name, email address or other contact details.
- Your progress stays on your device. We run no servers for the Game, and none of your game data is sent to us.
- The Game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information, such as an advertising identifier and your IP address, to show and measure those ads.
- You decide about ad tracking: your iPhone or iPad asks before any tracking, Google asks for consent where the law requires it, and you can change your mind at any time.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how the mobile game Ballpoint Knight (the “Game”), made by Miracle FunBox (“we”, “us”), handles information when you play it on iPhone, iPad or Android. It covers the Game only; our other apps and our website have their own privacy policies.
2. Information that stays on your device
The Game saves your progress on your device: your school year and the day in progress, coins, stickers, gear, badges, and settings such as sound on or off. This data is not sent to us; we have no game server and no way to see it. Deleting the Game deletes it. If you back up your device (for example with iCloud or Google backup), the backup may include it, under your agreement with Apple or Google.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or payment details. The Game has no sign-in, no chat and no social features, and it currently has no in-app purchases.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game is free because it shows ads, served by Google AdMob:
- Rewarded ads, which are always your choice: for example, to double the coins you take home after a school day, or to get Bit back on its feet during a class.
- An occasional full-screen ad between school days.
To request, show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the Game may collect:
- device identifiers, such as your device’s advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad, only if you allow tracking; see section 4);
- your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location, such as your country or city;
- information about your device and the Game, such as device model, operating system, language and app version;
- how you interact with ads, such as which ads were shown, whether you tapped one, and whether you watched a rewarded ad to the end;
- diagnostic data, such as crash and performance data of the ads SDK.
Google uses this information to deliver ads, measure how they perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud and abuse. Where you allow it, Google also uses it to show ads based on your interests. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
From AdMob we only receive aggregated reports, such as how many ads were shown and what they earned. Nothing in these reports identifies you. Ads in the Game are limited to content suitable for teens and older; ads with mature content are excluded.
4. Your choices about ads
- iPhone and iPad. When you first open the Game, your device asks whether the Game may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, Google does not receive your device’s advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. You can delete or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland. Google’s consent form asks for your choices before ads are personalized. You can change them at any time with the Privacy choices button in the Game’s settings.
- Everywhere. You can see and manage how Google personalizes ads in My Ad Center. Rewarded ads are optional, and the whole Game can be played without them.
5. The Unity engine
The Game is built with the Unity engine. Unity may receive limited technical information about your device, such as its model, operating system and hardware capabilities, to improve the engine. This does not include your name or contact details. See the Unity Privacy Policy.
6. Children
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to how it is used, or to withdraw your consent. Because we hold no personal information about you, requests about ad data are best made to Google through the links above. You are always welcome to contact us with any question or request.
EEA, UK and Switzerland. Personalized ads rely on the consent you give in Google’s consent form. Non-personalized ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests: ours in keeping the Game free, and Google’s in running a safe ad service. Google may process information in other countries, including the United States, under the safeguards described in its privacy policy.
United States. We do not sell personal information for money. Showing ads based on your device’s advertising identifier may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws. You can opt out at any time with the device settings in section 4.
8. How long information is kept
We keep no personal information about you. Your game data stays on your device until you delete the Game. Google keeps the information it collects for ads according to its own policies.
9. Changes to this policy
If the Game changes the way it handles information, for example by adding in-app purchases or online features, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top of this page.
